SACD's are coming -- $280 for the box set. These will be much better than the most recent reissues which didn't go over too well.

Best

I think I'll be getting the 33 RPM set for my wife.

I almost never listen to anything but jazz and classical anymore, so I rarely buy pop or electronic music. I like SRV, but just not that much for critical listening.

Is it the price difference with the 33 rpm or the longer playing time that was the biggest element in your decision?

I'll pass on this. I have his first 4 studio LPs (2-4 Originals), Texas Flood the Sundazed remaster, and they all sound great. As far as I know he was only alive during these 4 albums.

Price difference. I won't likely listen to it much, and my wife doesn't play records unless I'm there to spin them.

I may not even get them at all. I'll see what her reaction is about offering to order. I'd rather spend the money on something else.
