I don't have the opportunity to audition the Cantons in my area, so I'd be curious to know your impressions of them. Particularly what other speakers you prefer over them and what you find their shortcomings to be. TIA

That was going to be what I would have posted.

It just goes to show how different we all are when it comes to the sound we like and don't like. A good rule of thumb is to always audition in advance and if that is not possible make certain you have a 100% money back guarantee if you don't like what you get.

That is so true. My last speaker change was from Sabrina to the Canton Ref3ks. The Ref3ks smoked them in my system.

Wow - that‘s a first. I doubt anyone in Germany would seriously consider Canton even close to Wilson Audio… they run most their products in big BestBuy stores ala Media Markt, really bad price policy (they will drop 50-60% within a year or two after release) and also soundwise I have never heard any to really be considered „high-end“… but in the end it‘s all a matter of taste…

SabrinaX is a great speaker, but if you have a concern about bass response, the Yvette goes along way towards addressing that issue without taking over the room physically. They have very similar sound signatures, but SabrinaX is not "better" than Yvette. Auditions are necessary, of course. YMMV.

Good luck in your search.

Bob
