The way I think about them is the Sigma is a Porsche GT2 RS, and the Omega is a...Porsche 919 Evo Hybrid.

Yes, chances are it won’t suck. Now, I’ve just got to endure the “partsdemic” that is slowing things down badly. |

The Great Courses offers a course on that, "Mastering Differential Equations." It's on sale until on 3/31; after that you'd pay a lot more.

Things really change. My "goals" are still aspirations, but the focus has now shifted. Still thinking about the Transparent Plus–to–Super IC switch, but now the SweetVinyl SC-1 or SC-1 Plus are a possibility, as there is a path to connecting the unit to a conventional preamp; before it seemed I'd need a separate phono preamp. Maybe that would get me back into my vinyl. It would mean extra ICs, but I have Kimber Hero and AQ King Cobra lying around, so I wouldn't have to spring for more. That is, if I don't upgrade the Plus ICs in the system now, which (depending upon how good the Supers are) could mean a disparity in sound.
I need to be careful here.

Not as careful as I thought. I ordered two pairs of Super interconnect last week. They will replace Plus on my most-used sources, SACD and BD. The Plus on those components now will be traded in under Transparent's Trade-Up program, so that blunts the financial impact a bit. Now, however, it looks like I need a new mattress, which the Super money would have gone towards. The new ICs better be a big improvement!

Now that the Stork finally delivered the MC1502 last month my next goals are more tweak oriented and include:
1. A new 2 meter pair of WireWorld XLR interconnects. 2. A Mono cartridge (Ortophon MM White) to mount on the SL1210 MK5. 3. An E.A.T. Linear power supply for the E-Flat. 4. Upgraded power conditioner..., Venom tops the list at present. 5. Last minute addition: Ultra Sonic RCM.
