Default TAD M2500. The unknown

Hi everybody.
I see a lot of combinations with Tad speakers but few with M2500.
It seems that amplifier is not very popular.
Do you have any sonic impressions?
Isn't this amp at the same level of the rest of the Tad line?
Recently it has improved with the mkii version.

I would love to audition it, but there just aren't many/any dealers around. It's a bunch of $$ for no audition. I suspect it's fantastic, judging on the speakers alone, but just no chance to check it out.

I have not had the opportunity to hear the Evolution series amps. When the opportunity arose I really enjoyed the 600 series Reference products and I assume you are enjoying most the of SQ those deliver.

As noted above is is hard to find a dealer to audition TAD products. They are pretty rare so wouldn't assume you are missing something. You may have a gem others haven't discovered/

One year ago i had the chance to listen a M2500 and i was very surprised.
Far away to sound digital it sounded very relaxed and organic.
If i wouldn't have my Omega's Mono i would buy it without hesitation.
Really interesting digital/hybrid technology.

I heard it driving the CR1s, in a large room. It was very good.
90% of the capacities of the 600 series driving the R1s that same day.

It's hard to believe that a stereo amp (M2500) can be so close to a pair of M600.
Could i expect a better improvement on the mkii version?
Anyway i never have listened the monos so i can be happy to listen that affirmation.
What was the rest of the system chain?

Hi Bart.
I've read again your impressions and they are very close from my experience.
From the great soundstage of the M2500 to the HiFi sound of the Evolutions...
So close are the electronics? It is a shame that he didn't put the M600s with the Cr1s !!!
Maybe the lowest octave would be more present.
Anyway, taking care that big room with lots of glasses, do you think the M2500/CR1 combo would be even closer to their big brothers on a standard room (35m2)?
I have the C600 pre so i believe i can get more profit to the M2500.
The height of bass would improved on that conditions too.
Regards.

Hi Nacho, driving the CR1s with the mono blocks would indeed have been a fairer comparison.
The room was a typical large living room, untreated, so that people could get an impression of how the systems would work in a "normal" house.

What are your speakers?
