Hey now... I have those speakers. I mean, I have the actual speaker in that pic.

Love them too, but they aren't the field coil version. Anyone know if it possible to have them retrofitted with field coil drivers?

I'm planning to upgrade speakers in the next 6 months. On my short list are the field coil Latour's, the A23 Hommage 22A's and the Oswald's Mill AC-1's.

Not to hijack the thread, but anyone heard these speakers who wants to compare and contrast their sonic signatures?

You'd have to talk with your dealer but even if you could I bet there would be quite a bit of downtime to ship them to Tokyo, have them modified, and then shipped back.

How big is your listening space? Obviously, the Latour's are awesome but you need a medium to large room where you can sit back far enough for them to work where the 604 is an ideal near to mid-field speaker.

And btw those AC-1's are utterly insane. Very impressive! And I love the craftsmanship of them.

My room is 15' wide and about 23' deep with 12' vaulted v-shaped ceilings. The wall behind me is basically floor to ceiling windows which actually seems to help the bass sail thru.

Big enough?

Will try to provide some photos. 15 inch woofers need to be run in so not much bass now. Sealed design and do need to get some plywood board to place beneath the speakers.

Simon I was just up in North Vancouver for a week. I should have reached out to you to catch up. Had some good ramen, and went to a new (very large and open) restaurant right near the water somewhere. I think it used to be a ship yard or something.

Oh well, your place still looks amazing. How are you enjoying the Solvoxes? The wife is happy with the appearance?
