In a recent article, I recall Jeff D. / Tone Audio Editor making some tube recommends for CJ preamps.

He's owned several of their top models so you might want to check this out and / or send him an e-mail.

Philippe,

This makes me happy to read she's coming into her own and sounding like a great piece of gear - real music flowing from your speakers! I still have the GAT on my mind. Maybe I'll be able to trade up my ET5 one day and have a GAT made for me

I'll have to call CJ and find out what number they are up to in the series. I have to believe I have a little time. Fingers crossed.

I remember that number and I think someone on agon is selling #68. So they should have a little ways to go. Hmmmm, maybe a GAT II or super GAT. Ha!

Yes, that is correct. Joe, you have plenty of time. s/n 70 was right off the plane about 7 weeks ago.

But, I believe there is a J Valin review in TAS this issue? I am sure that will garner some more interest and sales.

BTW. I know the Aussie who is selling the GAT. In his Lamm set/Horn system the GAT is too beautiful sounding. I told him only 400 hours is not enough.
Interestly he is does not like his ARC REF40 and is selling that as well.

Well remember cj's ART preamplifier lasted for 12 years or so, through three iterations. And the ART still stands the test of time, even if it's not the absolute best out there at the moment BTW, if I get the same usage out of my GAT, I'll be a happy camper!
