Thanks so much for the gracious welcome.

Joe, I assume the ET5 will be a better sounding unit given newer technology, more robust power supply, etc. Hope to audition one in the not too distant future.

Welcome Gordon! I'd be very interested to read your comments comparing 18LS with ET-5...and even have a listen to an ET-3SE if you can.

When it comes to CJ on the "old vs. new" technology, I see that both ways. I like the new, but the old "burnished gold" is just grand. Really, a matter of taste. But, I have heard that the ET5 is pretty sweet gear...

Exactly! Once the ET5 settles in, it is very nice. Layered, wide and deep. I go back and forth between my 077 and the ET5. It's like an old shoe in some ways, you slip it on - it's comfortable and makes you go Ahhhh! When I want a little sure footing and speed, the 077 comes back out.
