Apples to oranges = mc602 vs mc275. The 602 sold in less than 48hours and I 'stole' a local mc275 for a song 3 days later. Whereas the 602 was 5 times the power I needed in my somewhat small listening space, a single mc275 is the obvious winner sonically hands down. The 602 struck me as an in your face front row rock concert, clinical by comparison, to the laid back mid row jazz club liquid, dynamic, warm, magical vocals.

This with fresh Gold Lions with the factory AX7As/AT7s and temporary Audioquest Type 4 speaker cable (until I can utilize the Crystal Cable). The appropriate amp for the room size amazes me. I can't imagine it much better, looking forward to 100 or so hours from now after the tubes and cables settle in...then perhaps a second amp just to round things out, symmetry and all that, you know.

Greg.......Your MC275 performance still has more to deliver. Roll some Gold Lion 12AX7's and 12AT7's in place of those stock Chinese tubes and be prepared to be amazed once again. I ran a pair of MC275 MkV amplifiers set up in mono with a full compiment of Gold Lion tubes in both amps. Seriously delicious music.

Dan, GL 12AX7 and AT7's precisely the plan, you nailed it. I do recall vividly your experience and reviews when you had the mc275 monoblocks in your studio!

Not to pry, but could you share some panorama or wide angle shots of your audio system? It looks to me you definitely a lover of music!

Also, I've been told over and over "GET MC275s" to go with my Klipschorns so it's good to know that there is some high appeal!

Better pics to come when we clean this place up! 'She who must be obeyed' is slowly taking over my man space..for example our wine chiller is now an end table.. You know what Bill, you do need to at least try out a mc275. I am spending about 8 or so hours a day going through my most familiar recordings to hear the differences between big SS and low power tubes. For my specific needs it's an eye opener. Although my plan is first to add the Cornwalls followed by a second mc275, I am surprisingly thrilled with what I am hearing.
