Tony - I think you will enjoy it.

Play concerto No. 4 and listen for the harpsichord to seemly float above the strings during the Largo, e piano movement. I think it's absolutely terrific.

Thanks Carlos - in a couple of hours[emoji42] That’s the downside to downloads for me, my painfully slow dsl connection.

Hahahaha. That's better than the week I have to wait for my discs to arrive from England after I order them.

Respighi - Trittico Botticelliano - Il Tramonto - Vetrate di Chiesa
Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège, John Neschling
Anna Caterina Antonacci, soprano
Qobuz 24/96

This came highly recommended in a German magazine (Stereo).
It piqued my interest even more because it is performed by a Belgian orchestra.
Wonderful music - sometimes I need something very romantic and lush - and the soprano is fantastic.

Messiaen - Quatuor Pour La Fin Du Temps
Martin Fröst
Lucas Debargue
Janine Jansen
Torleif Thedéen

Qobuz 24/96

I already had an SACD with this intriguing work.
But this is also a terrific performance.

Cecilia & Sol - Dolce Duello
Cappella Gabetta, Andrés Gabetta
Qobuz 24/96

I do not always love la Bartoli.
But in this small ensemble, she's great.
As is Sol Gabetta (we saw her earlier this season, she's gorgeous to hear and to look at).

Delicious music from Caldara, Vivaldi, Händel, Porpora, Gabrielli and Albinoni.
