Default Sabrina X

Hello AA members,
This past Dec. my wife chose the system for our living area. We had been using Sonos products for our background music, which was OK for what it was used for. She chose a McIntosh MA352 and a pair of Sf Olympica Nova 1 stand mounts. It was certainly a step above what we had been using. It was producing very fine musical reproduction but we knew the bass would be lacking. My dealer allows 100% trade up policy within a year. I reached out to him about adding a JL Audio f110V2 and he encouraged me to stop by for a Sabrina X audition. I was pleasantly pleased with the result. Floor space size it is comparable to the Nova 1 and to not add a subwoofer to take up more floor space is a plus. The WA Sabrina X added the lower notes I was looking for plus the non-resonating cabinet does add sonic improvements. Side by side comparison with a Sf O Nova V did expose the shortcomings of a wood cabinet. Even though the Nova V did reach a bit lower but it was not necessarily better sounding. I have a tough decision and some convincing to do since even with trade up the outlay will still substantial to u$.

I would appreciate any Sabrina X owners to chime in with their experiences.

I feel the Sabrina X would be the end game for our living room area. My primary room is upstairs. My first Wilson Audio sampling.

Did you have an opportunity to listen to the Sonus Faber Nova 3? I believe they are around the same price.

I am curious about the x vs. the 3.

The Sf Nova V is a bit cheaper than the Sabrina X. The Nova III was not available to listen to in comparison. They did have an Amati in the showroom but that is above my budget. Your Guaneri Tradition is equal in price to the Sabrina X. The X version is so much better that the original Sabrina.

Wilson makes incredible speakers. I do love the Guarneri with Tubes for music. But I am thinking about speakers for the tv/movie room.

Thinking of McIntosh xrt1.1k, Homage or reference, Wilson DAW OR ALEXIA V

But the Wilson Sabrina X would fit very nicely in that space and have considerable savings.

Wilsons are infectious--for those who try and enjoy, it's difficult to desire anything else after that
