Upgrade from Phono stage in McIntosh current preamps?
What price level of phono preamp needed for MM cartridges to outperform the current McIntosh preamps C22, C49,C53 etc

Having recently sold my C22 MkV, I would say you would be in the $3500+ range to beat the built-in phono-stage once the stock tubes are replaced. The C22 is a delight for both MM & MC (I run both).
Edit - I'll add that the Manley Chinook was my bingo for an upgrade. Believe its current MSRP is $3300.

Samsung SM-5237 cartridge
Before anything else, I want to greet all the members of this forum on behalf of this humble electronics hobbyist. Well, I have an issue with a vintage device, the Samsung SM-5237. If anyone has the service manual, it would be of great help. Alternatively, could you assist me with the cartridge model it uses? I've searched the web, and there's no information available. I even installed a proxy to broaden the search, but to no avail. I appeal to your help to bring back life to this simple old stereo. Thanks in advance. Greetings.
