Just dropped my check by my dealer today to spike my XVX with the new acoustic diode system. Have no idea when the spiking might occur but wanted to get in line. I'm looking forward to experiencing the new spiking system. I think the new Wilson Audio Specialties Division very unique and a great benefit to Wilson. My new spikes will be custom made for my XVX and will be as effective as a stock acoustic diode. I will take pics of the spiking, of course, when it happens.

Best

Charles

That's cool, Charles. I'm also looking forward to trying this on my Alexx, but I'll wait until they are generally available to drop off my check!

Marc, again absolute congrats on the new Alexx. I have said before and will say again that the actual improvement in sonics among the XVX, new Alexx V, and the Alexx is small, IMO. You get outstanding dynamics, extremely low distortion, and a beautiful open uncolored mid with all three. The original Alexx is a terrific speaker.

When I spoke to Mac parts about my new remotes (I have three), they informed me it would be months. I said could I just pay for them anyway. I gave them my credit card no. and about 4-6 weeks later three beautiful remotes unexpectedly showed up.

Best

Charles

Did they measure these against Stillpoints?

Of course they are going to promote their own brand. I heard both the Wilson diodes and Ultra 5’s on Alexx in my own home.

The results were staggering, and the Ultra 5’s remained under my Wilson Alexx.

49 posts in 8 years and you weigh in on this one with a counter point? Rather than crap on this thread, why not start your own in the Stillpoints subforum about your system and results?

Not sure how anyone could have heard these on the original Alexx, since I have it on good authority from Wilson that nobody but XVX and WAMM owners have tried these new footers out.

I might be the first one to have it on an original Alexx because I'm about to place an order. Even if Stillpoints sound good (I'm sure they do), I prefer the look of the Wilson footer and if Daryl felt strongly enough about it to include it in the new Alexx V, it must be good sounding as well.

I had the same thought. Charles
