Lightbulb Bass Traps

Who's using them & what is your experience?

I use ASC's Traps, they function amazingly well.

Had them, loved them. Don't have them now but will again in the future...

I have two RealTraps HF absorbers mounted 4 inches off the wall directly behind the speakers. There are also two TriTraps on the front floor corner intersection. I'd like to put two more tri's in the front ceiling corner but the better half is somewhat baulking at that. Two MicroTraps are on the walls at the first reflection point. I could use a couple on the ceiling.

I think any type of trap is a great bang for the buck upgrade.

I am also using Real Traps in my listening room. I currently have four Mondo Traps in the room corners, two Mini Traps (one in the front ceiling/wall junction behind the speakers and another attached to the office door down the short hallway in the back of the room), and two RFZ panels at the side first reflection points. I also have two faux 6' Japanese maple trees behind the speakers (for diffusion and aesthetics). For next steps I plan on treating the first reflection points on the ceiling and adding more absorbsion and/or diffusion to the back wall.

I am very pleased with the quality and construction of the Real Traps. They have made as much difference to my system as any component upgrade I have performed - night and day difference! I highly recommend Real Traps or other high quality acoustic paneling to anyone who has not treated their room

I am using Echobusters - Phase 4 Full frequency towers in two corners and I have (3) custom made 3' X 6' panels on the rear wall and (1) on a side wall.

Hi
I am using 14 Helmholtz resonators tunable between 40-100Hz. Benefit with these is one can tune the reverbation time and peaks and deeps in the frequency responce under 100Hz. I have an additional DIY broadband Helmholtz resonators tuned 100-300Hz combined with diffusion.
Thanks

I have been using GIK tritraps(stacked0 in the front corners.Huge difference in the bottom end(alot tighter ect).I use to get bottomend(TTrumble)when using 2 subs,so I used only one.Since I got the GIK tris, the bloat rumble is gone and the whole bottom tightened up big time.I don't have an ideal room(YET)but when I do..........I'll be ready.

I have 20'' ASC super traps. The work great. Before I had like 4-10'' and some 8'' around but now just the two super traps in the front corners. No problems.
