I had my MPC 1500 on my two channel system but ended up replacing it with a PS Audio P5 (Now their 15) and moved my MPC to my AV rig. There was some debate here that the MPC could be in the chain before the P5 but I moved it out and put in a whole house surge protector.

1. Regarding the MPC1500, Did you notice bad influence on Sound ? 2.A whole house surge protector is fine. But lots of Mains noise coming from inside appliances such : washing machine , Refrigerator ... So I recommend using protect device near the A/V kit / Stereo kit. |

I'm thinking if you have line noise then a dedicated line or 2 or 3 would be a better option to keep the noise out.

I don’t know if there is a sonic change from the MPC. I doubt it.
I put in two direct 20A lines to the panel, and each line went to a dedicated P5 for each MC1.2. |

I'd suggest looking into Keces.

I would get the MPC1500 cause it matches better.

Appearance. It's a McIntosh component so it matches the look and feel of all your other McIntosh components. Also it has DC triggers which work best with McIntosh preamps and AVPs.
