Thumbs up Thanksgiving Project
Here is what I plan this year. Re hab is letting dad come home for a few hours

Thats great that you will be able to spend Thanksgiving with your father. As for your cooking, that looks like a pretty serious endeavor.

Doug.......Reading the recipe and viewing the photos of the cooked turkey breast had me salivating. YUM!

Interesting... Smoked turkey is certainly very tasty.

This year I'm doing a whole bird with a lemon-honey brine, then traditional oven roast (I require drippings for the copious amounts of gravy I insist on having...).

This year I have passed the cooking duties to friends, who plan to BBQ the bird we are bringing. Fingers crossed!

Luckily, I am bringing the wine! I know that will be ok.

Pies! I'm backing mince and pecan. The mouth waters at the thought. Leaving the pumpkin and apple to others.

It's basically TK's fried chicken brine.

Went in about 9 hours ago - had to use my cooler, no room in the fridge!

Nice pics. I'm new to this web site but you and I may have cross paths on the Virtual Weber Bullet Site (Mongo1958). For thanksgiving I smoked a turkey in the WSM. We smoked a beef loin for Christmas. Both were fantastic but everyone was raving about the lion. What wood did you use?
