As Ivan mentioned, my dealer said 4-6 weeks. Most of the folks around in Ontario are now fully vaccinated and Bryston is a just an hour away from me. Pretty much back to somewhat of an around normal here.

My 28B3 arrived in less then 4 weeks back in the summer.

It'll be worth the wait. I am finally settling in to the changes from various upgrades I made starting last spring. I putzed with various settings and optimized everything. As I am playing favorite music files I'm realizing the improvements over my previous DAC. It's almost like rediscovering my music collection. Sound is much cleaner and more details emerge. Soundstage is more realistic. This is more what the musicians intended when they recorded their music.

Hoping you the same success!

I ordered a 3B Cubed the first week of July arrived the last week of October. Bryston is experiencing a lot of parts shortages. Going to be a while before everything gets back to normal.

Sorry to hear your delay!
I ordered 28B3 and they arrived approximately 5 weeks.

Default Break in?

Does this DAC need time to break in?

In my experience, YES.

It sounded good out of the box. The low noise floor compared to my prior DAC was apparent.

I made other upgrades that settled in prior to the BDA-3 arriving. Once I dialed in the HRS Nimbus system under my power amp the improvements became more clear from top to bottom on all sources connected to the BDA-3.

Many posters in this thread warned me that I would love my new DAC. I affirm all of them were correct.

Here's hoping you many many hours of enjoyment listening to your new BDA-3.

Ok, great to hear. I run Tidal all day long via my BDP-2, so guess break in won't be too long.
