This is my turntable, purchased last year. It's a SOTA Sapphire VI with a SME 309 tonearm (taken from my previous TT, a VPI HW-19 Mk IV), and a Grado Timbre Sonata3 cartridge.
My original choice was a Pro-Ject Xtension 10, but I wanted a detachable headshell and the Xtension 10 didn't come with one, being a package deal. I was told if I wanted another tonearm I'd have to move to the Xtension 12, which was more money. Part of me wishes I'd have taken that plunge, but the Sapphire is a good turntable and has SOTA's legendary suspension system; on top of that, it sits on a Gingko platform. Despite the recent purchase I haven't been playing records that much. That needs to change.
