You need to go to the USER CP and adjust how many threads per page. I max it out. So this is only a 3 page thread as of now.

---8K is already in!
* But what I truly want is more Frames per second true cinema. That, makes all the difference, and not 3D, and not 4K or 8K or 16K. Last edited by LordoftheRingsEE; 08-23-2012 at 07:00 PM. Reason: clarity |

vdv,
Thanks for bringing this thread up from the dead. I've got a 3D capable theater and have watched a few movies with active shutter glasses. The impression I get is somebody is holding my eyelids open with toothpicks. It's very weird. I think the technology is improving rapidly, but has along way to go. Hugo, Despicable Me, and Avatar were fun to watch in 3D, but here is just something about the experience that is weird. I do like the fact that 3D is helping drive 2D technology to be way better - brighter, higher resolution, higher frame rates, etc. That to me is the big benefit of 3D. I wonder if the mono crowd was saying the same things about stereo back in the day. Tom

I think the first few times you watch 3D with active shutters, there's a lot of eyestrain and can cause headaches, but your brain can get used to it with time/familiarity
When I started, I couldn't go beyond 15-30 minutes a stretch. |

I have no desire for 3D even though my projector supports it. It's a neat gimmick but seems to get old fast. If 3D's going to make it, it's going to have to be passive 3D and its going to have to far eclipse what they've done thus far.
