Default strang noise

Just recently I have noticed a 'mechanical noise' similar to a shutter release on an old film camera (only much heavier sounding' coming from either my McIntosh MX130 or MC7150. It doesn't effect the the sound of the music and the meters do not jump or anything. It will happen about 2-3 times while listening. Any ideas? thx
