I have to say I found the new Dune movie disappointing. Stopped watching about half way into the movie and probably won't finish it.

Watched it yesterday. Impressive, very impressive, visually and sonically very well made.
I guess the disappointing thing is that it does not cover a lot of topics and there is a lot to tell yet. I'm not sure when Part 2 (and 3) may come out, if at all, but they will be worth the wait.

Streamed it the other night on HBO max. Very close to the book. The desert even takes on a persona and seems to be alive in a deliciously malevolent way. Very good soundtrack - worthy of listening through the credits. If you are expecting something similar to the Marvel Universe offerings there is nothing to see here
