Concerts in my area are back in full swing, access with a sanitary pass.

Here's what I have lined up for the season so far on the Jazz side (busy October!):

Oct '21 - Kenny Garrett
Oct '21 - Dave Holland & John Scofield
Oct '21 - Tigran Hamasyan
Nov '21 - Roberto Fonseca
Feb '22 - Avishai Cohen
Mar '22 - Geneva Camerata & Emile Parisien
Mar '22 - Youn Soun Nah
Apr '22 - Jan Garbarek & Trilok Gurtu
Apr '22 - Paolo Fresu

I also booked the not to be missed concert by Joshua Redman, Brad Mehldau, Christian McBride and Brian Blade for Nov '22!

More to come on the Classical and Opera side.

How's your season looking like?

Beginning of next month Cecile McLorin-Salvant.
No sanitary pass needed there.

We've also done some smaller events, organised by private persons.
Always in the warmest atmosphere, with plenty of opportunity to speak with the musicians afterwards.

We'll organise one ourselves next month.

Good evening Bart,

Just got back. She was with Sullivan Fortner, just an incredible piano player. It was just the two of them. She is such an incredible talent and he is easily the same caliber as a jazz pianist. If you are seeing them together you are in for a treat! The barefoot photo was her encore which she sang a cappella.

From tonight:

Hoping to get to other local venues soon, but went to Symphony Hall (Boston) last week. Symphony is rare for us, but always special. Masks required as well as vaccination/test status, but a full house.

Different venue, but watched the Red Sox defeat the Yankees, then take two walk-offs against the 'Rays to win the division series. Go Sox! Fenway was electric.

I love Symphony Hall, was always one of my favorite venues, and not just for classical. Tom Rush did a New Years show there every year for several years with some great guests. And go Sox!

We still have John Hiatt and Jerry Douglas coming up next week in Seattle, and Taj Mahal is back for his annual Thanksgiving residency at the Jazz Alley in Seattle, but our other shows have been rescheduled again, now in 2022.

Hi Rob,

Great!
Yes, a good voice like hers + piano is a golden combination.

Thank you for sharing!

Cheers,
Bart

First concert since Oct 2017 when I saw Joe Bonamassa in Las Vegas. Last night I went to see Joe Bonamassa in Sugar Land, TX. His skills never cease to amaze me. Truly a virtuoso with the six strings.

Jazz, Classical perhaps, but rock no way. A young Dr both with some natural immunity left and two jabs and does 5 -10 mile runs several times a week was crawling on his hands and knees with a serious sympto and barely escaped hospital after a heaving indoor rock concert. I will be with a face shield and ffp3 if the summer jazz weekend goes ahead next summer in the park. If the anti viral's have been perfected by then. Me lungs are not of the best.
