I was attending the 2018 Toronto Audio Show and walked into a room with 2 of the 2D’s on display. The quality of workmanship and beautiful colour “had me at hello”. Turned out both were advanced demo units for the show before the distributor was taking orders. I did zero research. I made him a cash and carry offer. Great price for me and he was happy he didn’t have to pack it back up. |

Same thing I did with the mystery component(s) that I will pick up in Tampa (although I did lots of research and heard other units from same manufacturer before making my offer).

Nice room, your effort paid off.
I do like the lights as sconces versus overhead, nice touch! Enjoy in great spirit and health! |

Amazing room in every respect.
As I also have the Amati Futuras it was especially interesting to see how the position of the speakers have moved over time. |

Choosing sconces was intentional so I didn't have to cut holes in the ceiling. |

I was always advised to pull them as far out from the rear wall as possible and give at least 3ft from the side walls. When the contractor (Michael) started to place the acoustic panels on walls and ceiling, he placed them somewhere I would have never thought to. He did his placement calculations on his software and that was where they went. In truth, going from an open space to a dedicated room and treated room will yield tremendous gains regardless. I've had no inclination to start playing around with their positions as the overall sounds in beyond expectations. |

A beautiful room you have Mark. I only wish my walls had room for treatments. I have an odd-sized room that is not music friendly.

Nice room, nice system.
1. Is there first/early reflection acoustic treament on the ceiling? 2. Audio rack front and center is open enough and low enough not to terribly upset soundstage. However I have to ask, why there and not on a side wall near your listening position? Congrats on the room. |
