Default Python Zi-Tron Digital Cable

Just put one in the system
Replaced a Nordost Vahalla

Right now it sounds real good but I've been told by Shunyata that will change over the next 5 days or so

I'll keep reporting what I hear

So the cable has been playing for 5 hours or so and I'm sitting down for my first listen.

Bass is very punchy and airy
Image height is a little squashed
Width is good, depth not so much
Decent dynamics

Lyrics are very clear and defined, more so than the Vahalla

+1...Although it appears to be breaking in nicely based on your comments.

Well I enjoy hearing what you will find out. Was the valhalla solid silver based or plated silver on copper?

PS. G997, did you hear about the 818 with free MD600 Meridian offer until august?

Not sure of Vahalla construction but I'm thinking silver on copper

No I didn't hear about the offer here. I thought it was just for Europe
I don't really see the need to get an 818.

23 hours of constant playing..
Bass punch is gone
Width to width image is good, images are unnaturally etched now (maybe not such a bad thing!)
Depth has become more 2D.
Still pretty dynamic...

Approx 48 hours ..
I was told by Shunyata days 2 and 3 the performance would fall off considerably.
Well so far it's remained the same except for:
Image depth has increased
Image width is huge (I actually had some back wall image coming thru, outstanding!)
Clarity and focus is real good
