I am so impressed with my Venom 3's. Considering jumping to the Cobra Zitron for my amp in July....

Venom3s, IMHO, are frickin' incredible for the money. In my experience, you have to upgrade to the Black Mamba level to surpass them in performance.

Regarding upgrades, I am so impressed with my Hydra 8 that I am thinking of going "all in" and getting a Triton.

Keep us posted as to your impressions as they develop. I think the Venom3 is one of the greatest bargains in all of audio.

Will do. Should get it in tomorrow. Hope to do some DAC listening over the weekend. One of these days I may venture higher up the Shunyata line but I'm a bit hesitant based on my experience with some other high end cords (non-Shunyata). Kind of funny how things work out. I've been able to justify purchasing Shindo electronics and Koetsu cartridges but can't seem to take the leap over a $100 when it comes to pc's. Oh well.

Spent some time over the weekend listening to my DAC (Modded EE Minimax +) with the stock pc and then the Venom 3. Overall, I think the V3 provides slightly tighter and impactful bass but the difference was rather minor in the scheme of things. Changing out opamps and swapping tubes had much more impact on the DAC sound than the upgraded PC. The V3 is more or less putting the cherry on top of the Sundae. Since there was a minor improvement, I'd say the very modest $99 was worth it.
