Hi Josh,

I would love to post pictures but my profile doesn't allow - I already messaged the site admin twice... no response.

Green with envy! Add the Tannoy super tweeters when you have the funds available- I think they make a massive difference in sound (for the better) & wouldn't be without them. If you do decide to buy them- make sure you get the correct model (2 of the 3 versions work with the Canterbury) see my earlier post on this.

I've just finished refurbishing my Canterbury 15's.

Replace the awful VDH internal cables with Neotech silver & cooper wire (as per Jim Smiths refurb of his Canterbury SE's) & replaced the binding posts with high quality WBT's (eye wateringly expensive- but got 50% off during a sale by the US Distributor).

The VDH Cable & old binding posts were holding back the speakers- the Neotech cabling just helps 'let the notes go' & I think my speakers now sound better than the standard SE version (based on sonic memory which is not overly reliable!).

Full post on refurb to come.

Nick

Default Notes on Canterbury energy leave & Supertwetter from other post.

Do try the ST100's with the treble shelved down to -1.5 on the Canterbury's- I find this combination makes my system sing. Yes, the Canterburys are darker than the Kensington's, and I think the Canterburys sound better listening near field.

Are your Super tweeters the B version?- yes there are 2 versions of the ST100- each having difference crossover steps & sensitivity settings!!! There is nothing noting the 2 types on the Tannoy Website- I got the information off a Japanese website & had a Japanese's speaking staff member translate.

The ST100 is a universal super tweeter with frequency 18, 20, or 22kHz adjustable & Level: 87dB, 89dB, 91dB, 93.5dB, 95dB

The ST100B has frequency 14,16 & 18kHz & Level :87dB, 89dB, 91dB, 93dB, 95dB

You need the ST100B for use with the Canterbury (Manual recommends 14kHz & 95dB which sounds best in my system).

Luk.......I don't know how you are trying to contact Admin. If you were a Subscriber you would have Private Message. PMing is the fastest and easiest way to communicate.

The answer to your question about how to post photos has been answered many times on the forum.
