I bought my GAT new about a year and a half ago. I've had absolutely no issues with it. Soon after I bought it I replaced the stock CJ EH 6922 tubes with some NOS Telefunken E88CC tubes purchased from Upscale Audio. I replaced them on the recommendation of others that they sounded better, not because of any noise issues.

My system with the GAT is dead quiet. I can heartily recommend it to you without reservation.

I have been using the GAT for about the last year & half with Telefunken E88cc's with no issues. Using KT 120's in the LP 140's and prefer them over the 6550's. I have had a few EH 6922's go noisy in the LP 140's prior to the 1500 hr recommended change out by CJ. Ordered some NOS 6H23p-EB (6922) Soviet era tubes today to try in the LP 140's.
