Out of interest did you ask him if the descent I with the clx crossover would be a better solution?

I would post on the ml forum. Peter often posts from ml and he will provide an honest answer. In fact there is a similar thread running now.

How are the CLXes with your Ref150? Is it enough power?

In my room the Ref150 has plenty of power. Room is around 7 *5m
