Default Dumbest Car Of The Year

Is it just me or is this car fugly ? I just do not understand how Porsche who usually makes great looking cars, could release this. I hope it looks better in person.

I doubt that it would look better in person. I also doubt they will sell many of them. Having said that, the Cayenne was also looked at as a product that Porsche will not be able to sell but here I am driving a Cayenne GTS. I do think the 911/Cayman/Boxster/Cayenne are much better looking products and fill the needs of the owners a bit better than this "Jack of all trades, master of none" Panamera.

Now we know where Porsche got the idea for the Panamera... Hey, remember the AMC Pacer? Let's take that concept and streeetch it a bit. Let's also stick a 500HP turbo engine in it. Yeah, that will sell like hot cakes.

I actually liked the looks of the Cayenne and the interior, but felt that the early ones were under powered but I was looking at the Cayenne S at the time. I ended up with the 2005 911 and loved it the 3 years that I had it. It was the first car that I bought in the last 15 years, I usually lease, but the numbers made more sense to buy with the 911. It ended up only costing 6 k a year to own after I sold it. I am looking forward to getting another one when the lease is up on my 650, 18 months to go.

How about putting 500 hp in the 911 . My friend who loves corvettes is always bashing porsche for the relatively low HP.

I really enjoy my Cayenne GTS and my C4S. I'm driving the C4S much more now too. Test drive the new PDK 997.5 cars. I think you will be really impressed. Hardly a need for the stick shift anymore.

You have a nice combination, best of both worlds

Yeah, that's the new Turbo. It will have 500HP vs the 480HP of the last one. With the PDK equipped car and the "chrono package plus" featuring the launch mode.... I wouldn't want to be in any Corvette near it. It works like this, left foot on the brake, right foot buries the throttle, let off the brakes and the Turbo (other PDK cars as well) launches itself with a slight chirp of the tires and maximum acceleration to a blistering 3.2 sec 0-60 time with the computer doing all the work. Good luck for any Corvette to get that optimal traction to be even remotely close to those times. I know, I used to own a Z06, numbers sound great on paper but actually doing it is something else.

This is the new 911 Sport Classic. Interesting body work but I am not sure about the RS whale tail on the new body.
