Having worked with leather for over 20 years there is not 1 product that can be recommended for every leather, are you looking to "shine it" , are you looking to "preserve it" are you looking to " restore it" , it all depends on how porus the leather is , if you use saddle soap, mink oil,or any other oily product you run the risk of darkening or even staining on a porus leather, if you have a leatherish product and what I mean by that is non-full grain , it is leather but has been coated above the grain with a vinyl resin that gives it that sheen and hides the barbwire imperfections , in which case you can pretty much use anything you want! The leatherish leather is usually the one that is susceptible to cracking and there's pretty much nothing you can do about it.

Thank You.
It's just an A8, daily driver. I just want to take care of it proper.

The Lexol cleaner and protectant products work well - and are inexpensive and accessible.

I have heard that one of the best is Leatherique. More involved process, but the best results. No personal experience with this though.

I just cleaned my seats yesterday, and for car that has an ass in the seat so rarely during the year (hobby/track car, stored winters) you would not believe how dirty they get.

Definitely need a cleaning at least once a year in my case. Probably twice if I drove it more.

Best,

Matt

Best,

Matt
