I think PCM filter 2 is creamy and I like it.
XLR Pin has to set to inverted to be compatible with
my Moon preamp.
Quality of packaging is number one. Built quality second to none. Before this when I was younger, I like everything to be separated. Now getting older, I prefer one piece like this. I will have Esoteric K05Xs to compare with Luxman very soon. Exciting to know what the difference between them.
D-08u vs K05xs is not a fair fight!

Not fair, but that’s what I have. K05Xs is for smaller system in second room. Was almost ordered D06u for that room, but decided I should try two taste. If K05 has
Good tone then may be K1 to replace D08u in the future.

Today will try D08u with my primary speakers, was previously tried on Maggie 3.7i. Today will do listening
with Magico .

Confirmed by LUXMAN Japan. D-u players are all discontinued and will last until inventory finished. New model of some kind will be posted on Homepage this fall. But didn’t tell me a disc spinner or streamer.

How is your experience with Ayon CD35 compared to Accuphase, Esoteric and Luxman top models? I’m weighing my new purchase between Ayon CD35 and Luxman D-10x. I have Esoteric K01x now.
