That's about the price point the McIntosh book should have been, IMO.

I just finished reading the interview in Hi Fi News with Ken Ishiwata who the 30th Anniversary Pearl celebrates.

He makes a lot of comments about how NA and Canada was out of the Marantz loop for many years, where they were sourcing from Taiwan.

A very interesting read.

I heard the SACD in the audio department of Harrod's in London last month (why can't US department stores have high-end audio departments? Would give us something to do while the wife is shoe-shopping), and it stopped me in my tracks. Was being played through the new Marantz integrated and some Mordaunt Short floorstanders. Really sounded great.

Chathamdad... That's very encouraging. As soon as I pay my bill this month, I'll order the SACD along with the book. I hope they don't sell out before I can place an order!
