Climax Blues Band, "Gold Plated". Some good tracks on side1, but the rest is pretty pedestrian. 'Bar band' music & performance.

After the mediocrity of the CBB needed some good stuph, so am listening to Jimi Hendrix, ":blues". Jimi and SRV pretty much define modern blues guitar for me.

Robert Cray "Bad Influence". One of his first albums, and a strong introduction to him and well before "Smoking Gun" made him much more well known.

Olive Brown - Empress of the Blues

Robert Cray - Strong Persuader
Qobuz 24/192

I've probably played the CD 200 times in the 80s and 90s.
Now streaming it.
