Default Heimlich Maneuver to Jump-Starting - 100 Things Everyone Should Know

Editor’s Note: The first edition of this story appeared in 2008.

Everything from using a drill-driver (#1)
to folding the flag (#100)

I haven't looked at everything yet, but on the hard drive it says use a 12 inch drill! I swear, it seems like 'nobody' proof reads these 'daze'. Not even PM and it's 121 years old this year. But, as the expression goes, I digress. Using the time honored WAG method, I'm guessing it might have meant 1/2 inch drill. Also, although I have 12" and longer twist drills & others, I imagine there might be a couple of chaps here & elsewhere who don't have any as fat as 1/2". and that does seem bigger than necessary, but I haven't researched it.
If the 2 software solutions are valid/safe, that would be the way to go, methinks; the drives would still be usable. I use nothing but SSD's these days.

Also, (I'm wordy today, I guess) in a high school shop class I learned that twist drills were not "bits" - The teacher made a point of that, holding up a twist drill and a brace & bit. But that was eons ago and, apparently, twist drill "bits" are acceptable after all these years of common usage. Just sayin.

On the tree felling: Yeah, if it doesn't have an unquestionable lean in the desired direction, you really should pay a (licensed and insured) pro. Well over half a lifetime ago, & not counting a couple of years line clearing, I worked ~ 13 years for a tree service. Stuff happens; bad suff. Look it up on Youtube.
