Based on the information that was shared here, I purchased a Shunyata Denali S V2 with a Shunyata Alpha EF power cord.

It arrived today and the first record I spun with the Denali in the system was Johnny’s Hartmann’s Once In Every Lifetime.

I was skeptical how much of an improvement it would make, but I’m here to tell you the improvement was dramatic!

I was blown away with the increased clarity and dynamics of this album that I know very well. This revelation has continued with all the records I have played tonight... Phoebe Snow, Chet Baker Sings, Jurrasic 5, etc. It’s like getting reintroduced to your music.

I know all this sounds like more audiophile hyperbole, but I am a power conditioner convert!!

Thanks everyone for sharing your knowledge and experience! Much appreciated!

Great to hear that you're really enjoying your new power distribution system.

For me, it's as important as the quality of the foundation is for a house.

Good Vibes I’m with you and Puma Cat! My Denali SV2 was like a major component upgrade - huge improvement to my music enjoyment.

I couldn’t agree more, keef. Power distributors
and power cables should not be an afterthought in any system.

I just read through this entire thread and think I may finally pull the trigger on a Denali V2. Probably serious overkill for my meager system but clean power and dtcd is important as I'm sure all here know by now. I've been lurking/reading on this site for a while but I believe this is my post ,so, hello all.

Congrats! I got one late last week. Over the last few years, I've had an Audioquest Niagara 5000, PS Audio P10 and now the Denali V2. In my system, the Denali sounds the best by far. I don't think you will regret the purchase.

Congratulations. I'm confident you will be very pleased with the improvement it offers. A key point is not to skimp on the power cord for the Denali. You could start with a Delta XC, but if you have sufficient budget, I'd really recommend an Alpha XC or better, when it fits for your budget. The key point with the better power cords is they provide the requisite current to allow the Denali to perform to it's full potential. Just something to keep in mind. And your Denali will prove to be a long-term investment, so as your system is upgraded in terms of performance, Denali will be able to provide performance to match it.

I'm using a sigma EF (v1) on my Denali, from a dedicated line. The denali feeds all my front end gear.

Do you feel there is any improvement to be had if I move to an Alpha XC or pretty much any of the v2 cords? I know in general they are better than the v1 cords, but I feel the sigma EF v1 "should be" sufficient and a high performer in that application.

Hey Marc,
I would think so, too. If you're curious, you could always rent in a Sigma XC and compare. But, I'd think your Sigma EF would be excellent for powering your Denali.

Ok, good to hear you agree. I'll target other cords for upgrades going forward then. I still have some older Alpha HC that I should replace first.

I differ on this....given that side by side here, I heard Alpha v2 bury Sigma v1, I would say go for at least Alpha v2 (XC) to feed that core of your system.
