Default sonically, which is better? c47-c50 with my 275

hi, i have a Mc275V with C41 and external dac.

Sonically c47 is better than c41 ?

¿Will it be a big improvement if I replace with a c47?

In my honest opinion, YES. But there are more things to consider. Which of the two preamps provides the control features you want, the types of input and output connections you want, and the front panel aesthetic that you prefer. The C47 is more versatile as long as you don't value the recording functions built into the C41. Remember that this is my personal opinion that's based on my preferences and listening experience. Only you can answer whether or not you notice an overall sound quality improvement or not.

Matt-

I had a C-41 with a 352 power amp and for about 10 years. The first change I make in pursuit of upgrade was a C 2500 pre-amp (tubes). Of all the changes made to my system since, this was one of if not THE most significant.

My gut feeling is the c47 will have a similar sound to the c 41. I did hear a c47 with a 275 power amp but preferred the c 2600 pre-amp (again tubes). All of this of course is very subjective. If possible, try to have a listen.
