Hello Caelin,

Your reply is thorough and most informative. I need to spend some more time studying it. As you noted, there are a lot of moving parts in my initial inquiry. It looks like you have covered every base in your reply.

I have studied many of your previous posts on this forum. I therefore understand it is imperative to begin with a dedicated 20 amp line (or two) in order to establish the best environment to begin implementing Shunyata benefits.

I believe my opening gambit will be to install the 20 amp line(s) and then step back and see where to begin with Shunyata. Thank you and the other forumers who have chimed in to get me started.

Britt

Well actually you do not need to start with a dedicated line. It may not even be necessary or a significant improvement. If the power circuit that your audio is connected to does not have any other electronic devices on it that are generating noise you will not likely notice a significant improvement in performance. The only other reason to install a dedicated line would be current requirements. The system that you list should be well within the capabilities of a 15 Amp circuit. The improvement you get from a dedicated power line is primarily the fact that most people will install large gauge or better quality wiring for the circuit. Also, new power circuit breakers can also improve sound quality. I'm not saying a dedicated line isn't desirable - it is. But you will still derive all the benefits of the Hydra and upgraded cords with any power circuit. It is all relative.
