Default Vintage Philips CD player repair

I am the original owner of a Philips CD104. This unit is built like a tank. No plastic parts on this player. All lights function and drawer opens and closes. Unit does not play. Anyone know of a good repair shop? I live in North Carolina but am willing to ship to a good recommended tech.

Have you checked with the cover off to see if the disc actually starts spinning?
I always read of 'replace laser' stuff. BUT, In all the years, I have had players die. but never was actually a bad laser. Sometime it was a audio capacitor, Some times a capacitor for the motor drive.Another, problems the harness connecting the sled to the circuit board. But never a actual fail of the laser to work.
have a changer I left on all day every day to play music on repeat for my pets. After work I used it too. After over nine years, the wires to the sled had intermittent contact. After playing for 35,000+ hours... No problem with the laser..

Thank you for your comments. I know that the disc is spinning and I agree that it is not the laser. Just wish that someone could point me in the direction of a reliable repair shop. I really like having this player in my vintage system.
Pioneer SX 1010 and HPM 100's.

Phillips CD 104 is a nice player. I have one since new around 1986. Recently refurbished.

Sounds great!!
