I've rearranged a bit. The rack in the middle of the room and three shelves high was interfering with the depth of image. Tried everything in the right hand corner too and it seemed to throw the balance of the stereo image off a bit. I removed one more shelf from the rack and placed the amplifier next to the rack and this sounds like a happy place for everything. Seems to be low enough to not disrupt imaging at all. I am tired of moving things so much, but I think I have found the right situation for my room now.

I also think the SF Guarneri Evolutions sound better with their grills removed. I actually preferred the grills in place on my previous Olympica II setup...?

The Musical Surroundings Nova II battery powered Phono Stage in hidden under the bottom rear of the rack.

Jason.......That is a good move. I'm guessing you immediately noticed an improvement in dynamics. Are you using the outboard power supply with it?

Jason : superb !
I like curtains behind systems. Gives the illusion of the concert halls.

Hi Dan, It's a little embarrassing honestly as I already owned one, then sold it along with my previous turntable and quickly realized how good I had it before. So, after the recent addition of the VPI Classic One and DV Karat 17D3, I tried a Clearaudio Basic, then a Musical Surroundings Nova II and finally just decided to run back to the Simaudio Moon 310LP. It is simply the best phono pre I have heard without spending an absolute fortune. I tried the outboard power supply previously and found that I agreed with Michael Fremer when he found it added a bit more clarity, though at the expense of the presence range being a bit brash and over cooked (my words) - at least in context of my previous ARC system.

Jason.......Hind sight is 20/20. I have done the same thing with gear myself, selling something I enjoyed, then realizing I missed it and repurchased a second one. My McIntosh C2300 preamp and MR88 tuner being perfect examples.
