Don't have any SD cards so I just dropped a couple of flac ripped songs onto a usb drive and plugged it into the car. No problems reading and playing FLAC! Now I have to figure out how to get the cover art over because the unit will use that in the display. Fun thing to play with on Presidents' Day when it's 20 and snowing here in the Philadelphia area!

E - Thanks for the advice. Just went in and dragged and dropped 2 albums onto a USB thumb drive I had. Plugged it into the car and both albums showed up, sounded great (Flac files) and the cover art showed up on the screen.

May not be able to drive the car right now (summer tires and its snowing!), but getting to set up a lot of the cars features sitting in my garage.

Next step is to get some snow tires ordered but thats for another thread in the auto section.

If you copy the entire album it will probably automatically pick up the cover art.

Cover Art showed up perfectly for each entire album I copied over. Loving this system so far!

That is cool that it will stream FLAC!

The Type R is a hot car. Will you track it?

No track time in the plans. The company I worked for is taking away our company cars. Have been driving hybrids (Prius, Fusion ) for the last 8 years. Decided I wanted something sneaky quick and this was the car. Lots of fun to drive (0 to 60 times in mid 4's), all wheel drive, 4 doors for the family, and a hatchback to carry things. Unless you know what you are looking for, the Golf R looks pretty tame on the road. From what I've read, it does really well in the snow if you put on snow tires.

Not sure where you live in Eastern PA, but if you see a Limestone Gray Golf R cruising through Bucks County, good chance it is me!

Had no idea the infotainment system was so flexible. Just an added benefit.

I plan to make a Coffee and Cars after April 1st with a couple of other AA'ers. Maybe you can join that?
