Auralic Mini ifo

Hi all,
I want to see if I like streaming my music from my computer. I have an Apple TV on which I find it unpleasant to listen to streaming music...even the ALAC files I have through iTunes. Does any one have any feedback about the Auralic Mini recently released? I can spend a little more money, but I really don't want to only to find out streaming isn't for me.

Mike, do you have a stand alone DAC? The Mini is best matched with one however it does have the capability to act as a DAC on its own. Either way the improvement in sound quality is leaps and bounds over the Apple TV. Be aware that you have to set up the Mini as a server either way and use the Auralic Lightning DS app on an iPad (iPhone version coming next week, no Android or web based interface) to catalog and play your music files or stream from Spotify, Tidal, etc.

Digitalzed, thanks for the info. My wife advised me she prefers to have a stand alone solution instead of streaming, and she gave me permission to purchase a Sony HAP-Z1ES! I was considering a used one from Audiogon, but Ivan has a great price on a new one! Decisions, decisions!
