Once again thanks to all!!! The close-up of the observation car with vista dome was a new find. Bought it in Pennsylvania, when visiting Colleen's dad. Had never seen one like this. These passenger cars are vintage NOS 1950's thru early 70's. Lionel rarely makes these 15 inch extruded aluminum cars anymore. Today's pas. cars are usually 18 or 21 inches long, many are plastic.

I have a rather large and very well stocked model railroad store a few miles from me. I am staying FAR away from that place! Those trains are just too cool. Also my neighbor across the street, a nice retired professor has a very elaborate layout taking up just about the whole basement. He keeps talking about it to me... So far I have been able to resist that temptation.

All HO... it's mostly Marklin and some Roco and MicroMetakit ... all German brands, made in Germany.. yours appears to be S, right?

I also have some larger Marklin "1 Gauge" ..
