There is actually one confirmed bug in software 1.04. Playing files higher in resolution than 24/96 through the Coax or AES connections results in distorted sound. Per Classe the recommendation is to go back and use software 1.01

Oh no.it doesn't sound good to me it means bring it somwhere if not shipping it, waiting and being worried about it.
but in china is not even an issue i am sure nobody will be able to upgrade it. |

Anyone have a link, or can anyone provide more detail on the review? Especially curious if they did any comparisons of the CP800 to other preamps.

Jeff - are you able to buy a copy? It's a good edition. They really liked the CP800, besides noting it didn't have the last little bit as fleshed out as much higher priced preamps and a slight metallic sound, I agree with the former, but I haven't heard any slight metallic sound myself. Overall, they loved it.
