I saw a static display of the Bryston table at RMAF earlier this month. It seemed pretty solid but somewhat utilitarian in design and aesthetics. They don't seem to be doing demo's with the table yet???? Wonder why?

Hi

Our Toronto dealer Audio Eden was demoing the table in the room next to us.

The Bryston Room sounded really good. Great set-up, and not with a super high-end price tag.

This room sounded better than some of the ones I've seen and heard in the mega-buck range!

A closer look at Bryston's Model T in the tri-amplified mode with the new electronic crossover that allows choosing your own amp ... or theirs, of course.

This system did not sound as grandiose as others at the show, but it did sound more natural/organic, not contrived, put-on with exaggerated sonic elements to get one's attention. This was great audio!

Great job Bryston!

BRYSTON BAX-1 Digital Electronic Crossover

I ended up making it to the show on Sunday.

The Bryston room had their Model T speaker running with their new digital crossover. Triamped.

The digital crossover has their discrete input circuitry and their discrete output circuitry. Which automatically puts it a step beyond all other digital crossovers I've dealt with.

This combo ended up being one of the best sounds at the show.

I (currently) personally do not like digital crossovers, at all, as none of them are close enough to being done right. Until now.

This is the closest I've heard yet, when compared to analog/passive that is done right.

From the AVSForum Thread, where does one find these tracks? A found a few on Tidal, but sure they are the same version as listed below:

"Carmen Habanera Fantasia" on Producer's Choice, Vol. 1,

"On Patrol (From Paths of Glory)", on 2001 (Music from the films of Stanley Kubrick) ;

Christy Moore's "So Do I" from the folk album This Is The Day

"Alone Together" by Chet Baker from The Art Of The Ballad

Then, Oscar Peterson's "You Look Good to Me"

Stevie Ray Vaughn's audio show staple, "Tin Pan Alley (AKA Roughest Place in Town)" and Nils Lofgren's "Bass and Drum Intro"

TAVES 2016 report

Bryston

Bryston of Peterborough, Ontario had an entire room of their awesome stuff.

For some reason I never paid much attention to Bryston. Shame on me, them being a local brand with a world class equipment. And this room was a proof of that.

The sounds coming out of Model T speakers were excellent. Great imaging, clean tight bass and detailed highs.

And what's even more pleasing is that Bryston equipment doesn't cost a fortune and can hold its own against the brands that are tens of thousands of dollar more expensive.

My thanks to Audio Eden for using our new Bryston Turntable and Digital Front end at the recent Toronto Audio Show - comments on sound from Six Moons Magazine..

MEMO: To All Bryston Customers
SUBJECT: TAVES – Audio Eden Demo

Mike Hamelin from Audio Eden had carefully assessed his room and matched for maximum music capability.
His Kharma Elegance S7s mated to Nagra pre and power amplification and,

Bryston Turntable and Dynavector cartridge analog source and Bryston/Nagra digital front end were absolutely stunning.

Mr. Hamelin is a master setup man and he did himself proud here. Unforced and powerful music danced in this room with abandon.
