As a dog lover, I must mention: Great dog sitting on the couch!

Cheers

The WaveWood Super Bass Extreme Bass Traps also compliment room corners & are designed for 45 deg placement. They are 3-4 times the price of a standard WaveWood panel. I have these behind my F113s. In a larger room, you can stack these right up to the ceiling. Alternatively, if corner reflection is not so much of an issue, the standard WaveWood panels will also do the trick as they are cut to be placed at 45 deg to a corner as well!

That's Jack the 14yr old English Staffordshire Audio Afficionado. He always goes for the sweet spot, whether that be on the floor near field, or smack in the middle on the couch. Most attentive to Jazz. Given that he thinks he's human, he is never short of providing me commentary on his musical preferences.

Steve.......I have my bass traps set up perfectly in the front left and right corners of the room. What I want to replace with the Vicoustic Wavewood panels is the two 2' x 2' acoustic panels on either side of the widescreen and the two 2' x 4' acoustic panels on the wall behind the couch. I can do this using 2' x 2' Wavewood panels or a combination of them and 2' x 4' Wavewood panels.

Dan...Agree with your choice of placement. They would be most effective given your current room configuration. The new 600x1200 size will also work but keep in mind you will be restricted with their orientation given the dimension. Their orientation can provide subtle tuning variation given the direction of the panel slots.

As you are using absorptive panels, you will notice the difference by introducing these.

Steve.......I didn't know the orientation might change the tuning. It seems the most effective approach would be the 2' x 2' Wavewood panels so that I don't give up an option that may prove to be useful. Thanks. That's another great tip.

From the photos I have seen, including yours, it seems the preferred method is to install the panels with the slots vertical, although I did notice Jeff choose to mount the Wavewood panels with the slot horizontal. I believe I like the vertical orientation the best.

The 2x2 offers more freedom of expression. in the end it's personal preference & there are many implementation examples where orientation varies.

There are subtle sonic differences across some of the color choices too! Looks like cherry might be the go for your decor.

I actually prefer the darker Cherry but went for light Brown (walls) & Nordik (ceiling) to compliment the room better.

You gotta admit, they have some amazing rooms decked out on their website.

Steve.......Yes, I believe I favor the Cherry color wood the best.

Dan...forgot to mention, they come in packs of 10, so check with your dealer if you can split a box. I reckon, you are going to need 10 2x2 anyway.
