I know room treatments would help in the smaller room. I am even considering a 2nd smaller system to go in there but wonder if I will ever use it. Let us know about the improvements in sound to your room after you get the room treatments.
I will try to keep all the changes made to the room updated here. Hopefully others will gain from this experience. When the system was located in the living room I believe the larger space helped. I'm certain the correct treatments will make all the difference.

One very cool thing I learned yesterday...ALL outlets in my home are 20 amp, I previously believed them to be 15 amp.

My second smaller system which consists of a Peachtree Nova125 and Monitor Audio RX8s will now serve my living room. It will also be receiving my Mcintosh speaker cables since the placement of the rack in my dedicated room is to far from the speakers. I guess that means Ivan will be sending me WW speaker cables at some point

Moving around the room with bass notes playing (or low freq test tones) will give you an idea of where the peaks & dips are. Good luck
I would love to take some measurements but know little to nothing about how to go about doing this. If anyone lives in South East Texas, knows how to do this kind of thing, wants to spend some quality time with me, and doesn't mind driving then you may come and teach me. I will make sure to grill some steaks and we can listen to music.

That's very encouraging

For the highway noise thru the windows you may want to try some honeycomb blinds. They are atheistically pleasing and will provide some noise reduction. you can get them in varying configurations to help with noise transfer.

Congrats Trey, one for the dedicated room and two for getting room treatments. I too am placing an order with GIK on Monday. Our orders will be built out side by side. Wanna have a race? It is really amazing what room treatments can accomplish. I will be mixing in some of my pre-existing ASC products alongside GIK. Bryan has been most helpful and everyone at GIK has offered excellent customer service. I have to say, my experience with GIK, up to this point, is hands down better than with ASC back in 2007 and especially better than my consultation with ASC last year. GIK is a class outfit. I am extremely excited about receiving their products.
