Default Dedicated 2-Channel Room with GIK Acoustics

Hi AA!
I'm excited because of a few decisions my wife and I made a couple of days ago. We are turning one of our bedrooms into a dedicated listening space! This allows me to do something I have been hesitant with until now, room treatments. I contacted GIK today and they will be sending some renderings of possible ways to set up the room. The attached photos are of the empty room and I have added a shot of my stereo so you can see what I am working with. I am creating this thread for several reasons. 1) So I can get advice from all of you here on AA for optimal setup. 2) To be a resource for others who might take the same route I am taking. 3) Because only you here on AA can truly appreciate what this means to me.
My wife and I do not have children at the moment but plan on it at some point....
I do not feel comfortable with children near my equipment so it has been a little inconvenient for family and friends who come over that have children. Putting my stereo in a room to it's self will allow me to lock the door and feel safe that the child will not grab a hot tube or accidentally break something.
With that said, my plan is to place the stereo on the wall with the one window. I will be adding two subwoofers at some point and would like to set this up initially with that already in mind. Since this is a dedicated space I think pulling the speakers out into the room more will be possible so that the rack is back against the window while there is nothing between the two speakers. I assume I can set the subwoofers on either side of the rack behind the speakers? I'm about 99% sure I will be getting two F113s.

Trey.......A dedicated music room is the cats meow. After having music in other parts of your home you may find you miss that aspect of a system in a common space. None the less, when you want to relax and enjoy listening to music without interuptions a dedicated audio room is delightful, especially when it has been optimized for sound.

A dedicated room is truly great because it will allow you more freedom in speaker placement and room treatment.

I just added some treatment to my living room and it has transformed my system. GIK customer service is truly top notch.

Dan I am excited to experience the "cats meow"
Fortunately I have my first system going into the living room where my main system currently resides. For the living room I will be using my Peachtree Nova 125 and Monitor Audio RX8s. This is a great system for entertaining guests and enjoying music while eating or reading.

Georges...I am thrilled at all the options I am now honestly considering. GIK has been very quick to return my e-mail and seem like the real deal. I can't see how I will not be happy with them. I'm glad your experience has been good

Trey, excellent idea !

Keep in mind (given the current pic you gave us of your present set up) Never put components in front of and in between your speakers, it will hinder proper imaging for sure. Now that you'll be going into a dedicated space that wont be a problem.

I concur on the GIK, big fan myself..............keep us posted.

I'm so anxious to set these speakers free! This is one reason the room is empty at the moment, I wanted to let all the good folks here on AA see what I'm dealing with and make any suggestions before I move the equipment into the room.

I have been on the phone with GIK acoustics and I believe they have me something put together. Next step is to set up the stereo getting everything dialed in as much as possible. I will then be sending more concrete dimensions to Bryan at GIK so that we can finalize my order. I'm thinking 3-4 weeks before all treatments are applied. They have a 2 week build out time. One thing I am considering is putting the rack on the side wall. That would allow me to set the speakers closer to the front wall. I would also be able to place one subwoofer center front wall and one center back wall. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
