I might mount the 2X4 bass panels behind the speakers and buy two ASC tube traps for the front corners.

Of course, it will look very stange to any stranger "pillows on the walls ??" but I don't care. I like them. They give a cosy look to the room.
Moreover, because of their limited side, they work both as absorbers and diffusors.
Moreover, US and UK flags sound very well with McIntosh and PMC

Jerome, either live or fake plants of the large variety go a looong way to diffusing the sound in the room and make the sound much more relaxed and less hard and brittle. Try it, they worked very well for me in the old house!

Ah ! Can you guess that I love the Saxons ? We owe them our Freedom. And I prefer to speak english than being a gas.

Thank you Philippe for your nice comment. I have to show your post to my wife, she can't stop crying.... well, almost.
Panels are from GIK Acoustics.
I don't know if you have seen this set up: It was a big room published in Stereo and Image, about one year ago, with huge High Eff speakers and the guy treated the walls with diffusors and pillows from Ikea. I could scan the pic and show you if you want....

Yes Serge, they are programmed. But I have to find nice fake ones because the cats eat the real ones !

Perhaps a few Catnip plants to drive your cats absolutely crazy!
