AUDIOSHARK

James & Bryston Co.

Once again showed just what is possible in high end for not-so-stupid money.

The Model T's sound much, much better than their price tag would lead you to believe.

With the BDP-3 coming down the pipe, there are lots of exciting things happening at Bryston.

TAVIS 2014

The Bryston Model T with 28Bs (Edit 7B's) sounds always good to my ears.

I actually think his speakers are the best bargain in hi-end audio.

Anybody in the market for under $20K must listen to the model T speakers .

STEREOPHILE MAGAZINE

TAVES 2014

Bryston can now present a complete system (lacking only a turntable).

The one being demoed featured the Model T Signature speakers the same as the system at the last Montreal show (EDIT – 7B’s used in Toronto instead of 28B’s).

The system had the same lively, dynamic sound and excellent imaging.

With their preamp and power amplifier models well established in the marketplace, Bryston has turned their attention to their digital products. The latest such product is the Bryston Optical Transport (BOT-1), which adds CD ripping and playback when connected to the Bryston Digital Player (BDP). "No Computer Necessary," says the product literature, which I think is great. Price hasn't been determined yet, but I'm told it's going to be less than $1000. I've included a pair of Grado headphones in the photo just to show how compact the BOT-1 is.

MEMO: To All Bryston Customers
SUBJECT:Bryston Demo TAVES 2014 ‘6-Moons’

Next up the scale we hit the Bryston room.

Vast product lines on display. I had a fascinating chat with Vice President James Tanner about the historical progression of the firm from medical technology to highly respected consumer and professional high-end staple. These are legendary bulletproof electronics. Playing was the big Model T, a relatively inexpensive statement loudspeaker (by high end standards), built to Bryston’s specs by Axiom.

The Bryston combo played at levels soft to loud with tremendous dynamic range and true full frequency range. Quick, crisp and clear, these appeal to those who want their resolution and transparency with massive kick when called for.

Homegrown pedigree.

TAVES 2014 - BRYSTON ROOM

I went on the Saturday. I enjoyed a lot of what I heard.

The Bryston room was stunning again for the second year in a row.

The Model T is a serious "big bang" speaker that punches way above its price poin
t.

Default Model Ts

I enjoyed sitting in the middle seat with James picking the music. The T's sound fantastic crisp, clear and full. I could have listened all day.
