As I said, just ask them.

I think I can guess what the answer would be if I call and ask them

They have used MIT Oracle digital cables in the demo systems for a while but have made some changes recently. I've had success using both Siltech signature series and MIT |

Which cables do you use for your Vivaldi?
I actually use the same cables for my Vivaldi that I use for my Bach. I do change them out for my Mozart and Puccini though.
Ask me again anytime.

One dealer who sells Siltech & Crystal cables told me that DCS uses Crystal cables for their own use. But to shod the stack with full loom of crystal cables would cost the same as a Vivaldi stack !

No reason to use same cables for clock as for data stream. Clock cable sensitive to exact impedance match. Get the best 75 ohm cable and terminate it with decent 75 ohm BNC connectors: if you want the best, get the Furutech rhodium BNC connectors at $175 a pair. Total cost maybe $275. It's surprising by how much some highly regarded cables fail to exactly meet the 75 ohm specification and any deviation will produce internal reflection in the cable.
For the data, other factors come into play. Dcs did use MIT Oracle last time I was in their factory, but I see they've been replacing all those recently |

I use to have all siltech cable on my vivaldi stack, including for the clock signal. While expensive, it made a big difference. Very liquid ...

If you use an external master clock such as a rubidium unit, that may well want to see a 50 ohm load so I,penance matching from 50-75 needs to be carried out. Quite why DCS choose 75 ohm for their external master clock 10mHz connection is strange as virtually all 10mHz sources will want to see 50 ohm impedance. Does it make a difference! Sure does! |
