I had one of these back in the 2001 time-frame, one of the smaller ones that was about the size of the disc itself. I used it to listen to music while riding my motorcycle. It had pretty good audio quality, but it was fussy in real-world use, and having to change out discs for different content turned out to be a hassle. It also was not very durable in real-world use. I bought one of the 2nd gen iPods when they came out, and they were much better and stored a LOT more content. And more rugged and durable as they used less moving parts.

This is a good video I recall seeing it around the time it came out. I'm still a fan of minidisc, it's a fun little physical format.
